I went to the grocery store looking for some interesting fruits or vegetables to use for the subject of another thread painting. The radishes caught my eye. I took a batch home, photographed them and this is the first result. After fusing the radish pieces of fabric together, I found a piece of hand dyed fabric that Leslie Dulin stamped using her original carved stamps that would be a perfect background for the radish. I fused the radish to this background and began free-motion stitching. And here you have it. This piece is not framed yet, but I think I’ll use the same molding as used for the eggplants.
